A man who triumphed over Erin Banks in Men's Physique at the Legion Sports Fest Pro 2023. This stirred up quite an interesting commotion, as he defeated the reigning Men's Physique Olympia 2022 champion. With this accomplishment, he secured a ticket to Mr. Olympia 2023, with the designation of a new strong opponent. We couldn't miss out on his drive, determination, and competitiveness. So, we proudly introduce our new ambassador. Read the interview and get to know Kyron Holden.

Kyron, what led you to the competition stage? What was the springboard in your career?

I started in fitness in 2015, that's when I did my first bodybuilding competition in San Diego. I also practiced box in high school. In my first competition, I won the overall. I began fitness because I was going through a hard time while being in the navy, and I decided to focus on building my physique to keep me from other things.

Can you share which competition achievements make you most proud?

I am most proud of my victory when I received my pro card, winning the overall at the USA's. I'm also very proud of my NY Pro victories, my Pittsburgh Pro victory in 2021, and my most recent Legion Sports Fest victory, which holds a special place in my heart.

How do you cope with challenges and pressure in pro competitions?

I meditate and practice breathwork, remembering that everything is a blessing, and life is just a black canvas to paint your soul's art on.

Who or what is your driving force that motivates and inspires you? Do you have any role models who influenced you during your career?

I wouldn't say there are role models, but there are several people in the industry whom I greatly respect. Becoming the highest version of myself is my biggest motivation.

What does your typical daily routine look like? How do you balance training, nutrition, and recovery?

I wake up around 11. I am a night owl, haha, so I stay up late. The first thing after waking up is brushing my teeth and performing various rituals in front of the mirror. I tell myself that I love myself and go over affirmations and expressions of gratitude. After brushing my teeth, I engage in two regular breathing exercises. One is Kundalini breathing, and the other is chakra breathing. Then comes cardio, followed by breakfast. After breakfast, I work on social media or client-related tasks, eat, then I train. I eat again. Followed by two more meals, which may vary depending on whether I am in prep or not.

What are your upcoming competition plans and goals?

Currently, I am considering participating in Pittsburg Pro and NY Pro again in April/May.

What advice would you give to aspiring athletes in the Men's Physique category? How should they prepare for the challenges this sport brings?

Consistency is key! If you've decided to compete, connect your efforts with a strong why and emotion. Don't just go through the motions; have passion. I would suggest that every competitor develops a spiritual practice so that the challenges don't overwhelm them. A spiritual practice will ground them, allowing them to make decisions from a more aware and centered place.

How do you perceive your role as an ambassador in fitness and bodybuilding? What message do you want to convey to your fans?

Being an ambassador, for me, means sharing what I've learned through my life's journey, with a stronger focus on the spiritual aspect. I aim to spread love and awareness of our true nature as humans. You are so much more powerful than you realize!
